In alignment with the district's reentry plan, Keeping the Promise, we will continue the pursuit of enhancing SEL Competence in our staff and implementing the competencies in our classrooms and beyond. To serve as a catalyst, you are being provided with three student SEL presentations (K-4, 5-8 and 9-12). Teachers are expected to present the PowerPoint to students and use their discretion with digging deeper. The embedded videos allow for in-depth conversations regarding the respective indicators and can be used in meaningful and organic ways. For added convenience, teachers may find the notes section helpful when presenting. Please decide upon the best route for students to receive this presentation during the first week of school. The activities can be implemented during homeroom and serve as a springboard for the SEL question of the day.
