As part of the High School Restructuring initiative, Paterson STEAM HS opened its doors in Fall 2022. This school blends aspects of previous pathways from HARP with some new STEAM coursework to create innovative pathways for Paterson students.
What is STEAM?
STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math and typically refers to pathways that create interdisciplinary, project based learning opportunities for students.
Paterson STEAM HS is located at 764 11th Avenue (former Paterson Catholic building). Students will complete their core course graduation requirements in classes that emphasize project based learning that has an interdisciplinary, STEAM focus. They will have an opportunity to select a pathway from those mentioned below in their sophomore year.
